How long does a typical videography project take from start to finish?
Timescales vary with the scope of the project, but most videography commissions run from initial briefing to final delivery within two to three weeks. A straightforward property or corporate shoot can move faster. Larger productions involving multiple locations or drone footage take longer to plan and edit properly. At Bold Media Agency, we’ll agree on a realistic timeline with you before filming begins.
What's included in the £500 + VAT starting price?
That starting price covers a single half-day shoot with one of our experienced videographers, professional editing, and delivery of a finished video ready for your website or social channels. Projects involving drone footage, multiple locations, or extended editing time will cost more. We’ll always provide a clear, itemised quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises later.
Do you offer drone videography as part of every project, or is it a separate service?
Drone videography is a separate service that we add to a project when it genuinely benefits the story, such as capturing a marina, golf course, or large property from above. All our pilots are fully knowledgeable of correct operational practices, so we capture aerial footage safely and legally. We’ll discuss whether drone footage is suitable for your project during the initial briefing.
How experienced is your team, and what qualifications do your drone pilots hold?
Our team brings over 20 years of combined experience across commercial videography, photography, and content strategy, working with brands in the marine, golf, property, and corporate sectors. Every drone pilot we use holds full CAA certification, meaning we capture aerial footage in accordance with UK aviation law and to a consistently professional standard.
What areas do you cover, will you travel outside Dorset?
We’re based in Dorset and cover the south of England as our core territory, but we regularly travel further afield for the right project. Distance affects cost slightly due to travel time, so let us know your location when you enquire, and we’ll confirm availability and any additional travel costs upfront.
How long after the shoot will we receive the final video?
For most projects, you’ll receive your finished video within one to two weeks of filming, depending on the complexity of the edit. Drone footage and multi-location shoots can extend this slightly due to the additional editing required. We’ll confirm a delivery date when we agree on your project timeline, so you always know what to expect.
What format will the finished video be delivered in, and is it suitable for social media?
We deliver your finished video in formats suited to its intended use, whether that’s a landscape cut for your website or vertical and square versions optimised for social media. Let us know where the content will be used during the briefing, and we’ll edit and export accordingly, so it performs well wherever you post it.
We've never commissioned a video before, what do we need to prepare beforehand?
Nothing technical. We’ll guide you through the process from the first conversation, starting with a briefing call to understand your goals, audience, and timescale. It helps to have a rough idea of where the video will be used and any key messages you want included, but we’ll shape the rest together.
What happens if the weather's bad on the day of an outdoor or drone shoot?
Drone flights and outdoor filming depend on safe, legal flying conditions, so we monitor forecasts closely in the days before a shoot. If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule rather than compromise on safety or quality. We build flexibility into our planning wherever possible to keep projects on track despite the British weather.
How many rounds of revisions are included, and what if we want changes after delivery?
Every project includes a standard round of revisions, giving you the chance to request adjustments before final delivery. Once you approve the video, we can usually make further changes for an additional fee, depending on the scope. We’ll always talk you through the options before any extra work begins.
