Drone FAQs

Are your drone pilots fully licensed and insured?

Yes. All our pilots hold CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) certification and operate under full public liability insurance. We follow UK drone regulations for every shoot, including flights near restricted areas, so you can be confident the footage you receive has been captured safely, legally, and to professional standards throughout.

Drone flights depend on safe conditions, so if strong wind, rain, or poor visibility make flying unsafe, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost. We monitor forecasts closely in the days beforehand and will always give you plenty of notice if a date needs to move.
Turnaround varies by project scope, but most clients receive their edited photography or footage within five to ten working days. For larger productions, we’ll agree a clear delivery timeline upfront, so you always know exactly when to expect your finished content.
Yes, within CAA regulations. Our certified pilots assess airspace restrictions, proximity to airports, and local rules before every shoot, and secure any necessary permissions in advance. This means we can safely capture aerial content in most locations, including coastal Dorset and busier commercial sites.
Every project includes professional editing as standard. We colour grade, stabilise, and refine your photography or footage before delivery, so you receive polished, ready to use content rather than raw files. If you’d like additional edits or formats, just let us know.
We deliver high resolution images and footage in formats suited to your intended use, typically JPEG or TIFF for photography and MP4 for video. If you need specific formats for a website, social platform, or print run, let us know beforehand and we’ll tailor delivery accordingly.

It’s not essential, though many clients like to be on site to guide priority shots. We’re happy to work from a brief alone if that’s easier for you. Either way, we’ll confirm shot requirements beforehand, so the shoot runs smoothly without your input on the day.

You can learn more about what a drone shoot actually entails by reading our guide.

Standard drone photography is suited to outdoor and open-air locations. For enclosed or indoor spaces, we typically recommend our studio photography or videography services instead, which use different equipment better suited to tight interiors. Get in touch and we’ll recommend the right approach for your location.

Yes. Before the shoot we’ll talk through the specific angles, features, or moments you want captured, whether that’s a particular hole on a golf course or a property’s best approach. Our pilots then use their expertise to execute the brief, balancing your priorities with what will look strongest on camera.

We have a guide on photography briefs and how to communicate what you want, with much of the advice being applicable to drone shoots.

We’ve delivered aerial content across marine, golf, property, corporate, and events sectors, so most commercial applications suit drone photography well. If you’re unsure whether it fits your project, get in touch and we’ll advise honestly on whether aerial visuals will add genuine value.
