Extreme Group – Aircraft Interiors Expo.

Case Study

The Brief

Extreme Group is a specialist exhibition and events company with a reputation for building high-impact stands that help brands make the most of their time on the show floor. Two of their clients at this project were Muirhead, a premium leather manufacturer serving the aviation and automotive sectors, and BlueBox Aviation Systems, a provider of wireless in-flight entertainment solutions.

Bold Media were commissioned to cover both stands at AIX 2026 in Hamburg, documenting the final stages of the build and delivering comprehensive photo and video content across both brands for the opening day of the expo itself.

The Shoot

Aircraft Interiors Expo is the world’s premier trade fair for aircraft cabin design, in-flight entertainment, and passenger comfort. The 25th anniversary edition ran from 14th to 16th April 2026 at the Hamburg Messe, drawing over 12,500 industry professionals, 185 airlines, and nearly 500 global exhibitors. For brands investing in a presence at an event of that scale, the content captured during the show has work to do long after the doors close.

Our team arrived during the final hours of the Extreme Group build, capturing the detail and craft that goes into assembling two very different stands. For Muirhead, the aesthetic was warm and tactile, with herringbone flooring, rich leather swatches, and the BioPRO foam range displayed across a gallery-style wall. BlueBox took a different direction, with a clean, blue-lit digital environment built around the Blueview platform and a series of interactive passenger experience zones.

On opening day, the energy on the show floor shifted entirely. Delegates moved through both stands, conversations happened at the bar counters, and the products came to life in context. We worked across both environments throughout the day, covering the stands in full and building footage for the social video edits alongside the photography.

The Content

The final deliverables spanned photography for both Muirhead and BlueBox, covering build documentation and live event coverage, alongside two dedicated social videos for Muirhead. One of these videos told the story of the stand construction, while the another captured the finished environment in action during the open event.

Working at a live international expo brings its own challenges. Floor space is shared, foot traffic is continuous, and the window for clean, unobstructed shots is narrow. Managing those conditions while moving between two stands, maintaining coverage across both brands, and building video content simultaneously requires preparation and clear communication on the day. The planning we put in before travelling to Hamburg meant we arrived knowing exactly what each brand needed and how to prioritise the shoot as the day progressed.

Content like this has a long shelf life. A well-produced stand video or a strong set of exhibition photography gives brands an asset they can use in post-event campaigns, social media, pitch decks, and award entries. The investment in the stand itself is only part of the story. The content is what carries that investment forward.
