Bournemouth University approached Bold Media Agency to create a series of graduate story videos for prospective students.
They wanted ten short, engaging interview-style films featuring recent graduates from various courses, and each video needed to showcase how the graduate’s university experience contributed to their career success. In addition, the client also requested social-ready versions that could be shared across their social media accounts.
A key challenge was coordinating shoots across multiple locations – both on campus and at the graduates’ workplaces – while maintaining consistency and visual impact. Strong videography was essential to bring each story to life.
We began by planning interviews with each graduate, working closely with Bournemouth University to schedule filming sessions that accommodated their job commitments.
On campus, we captured sit-down interviews where they reflected on their course, tutors, and overall university experience. To add visual context, we filmed dynamic b-roll of graduates in familiar spaces, including lecture halls, libraries, and outdoor areas to help bring their stories to life.
Next, we traveled to their workplaces, shooting relevant b-roll of them in action to highlight their professional growth.
Managing logistics across ten separate shoots, with varying locations, lighting conditions, and schedules required careful coordination and adaptability. Our experienced videography team ensured every shoot ran smoothly, using high-quality equipment and efficient workflows to maintain consistency, creativity, and a polished final product.
