When the team at David Lloyd Poole completed a full transformation of their club room, they needed a polished announcement video to introduce the refreshed space to members. Bold Media Agency was brought in to produce a short, engaging video that captured the energy of the reveal, showcased the key new features, and invited members to come in and explore their newly upgraded home from home.


Arriving at David Lloyd Poole, it was immediately clear that the club room transformation was a significant one. The brief called for a walkthrough-style video hosted by two familiar faces from the club, Lee and Elliot, which shaped the entire production approach from the outset.
To guide viewers naturally through the new layout, we relied on gimbal-stabilised tracking shots that gave the footage a smooth, fluid quality, replicating the experience of walking the space yourself. Wherever the architecture allowed it, we used leading lines to our advantage. The long counters of the new business lounge, combined with striking ceiling fixtures, drew the eye deep into the frame and made the space feel genuinely expansive on camera.
Lighting presented its own considerations. The club room benefits from good natural light but balancing that against the warm interior fixtures required careful management to avoid the kind of mixed-colour casts that can flatten a space on screen. The result is a bright, airy look that feels true to the room.
In the DL Kids soft play area, we boosted the colour grade slightly to let the greens and blues sing, adding a sense of playfulness that suited the space perfectly, while keeping the lounge and bar tones cooler and more refined.
Lee and Elliot were positioned centrally to create a sense of direct engagement and warmth. This intentional framing balances the architectural scale of the background, ensuring the subjects remain approachable and prominent throughout the shoot.
The finished video strikes a confident balance between lifestyle feel and functional showcase. Tight close-ups of bar finishes, upholstered fabrics, and the power outlets in the business lounge give the edit a premium quality that goes beyond a standard venue walkthrough, and the snappy pacing keeps energy levels high from the first frame to the last.
