SESC Solutions came to Bold Media Agency with a clear goal: to capture the real-world impact of their solar panel installations through authentic, client-led video content. In the first in an ongoing series of shoots that we’ll be working on with SESC, we headed to the home of Chloe, a customer of theirs who had recently had solar panels fitted to her property.
Our brief specified filming Chloe’s experience from consultation through to daily life with her new system. The goal is to help SESC build a compelling library of case study content that showcases the tangible benefits of going solar.
Filming took place at Chloe’s home, where SESC Solutions had installed 14 460-watt solar panels across the south-facing aspect of her roof, with an additional five panels on each side of her garage, covering both east and west aspects.
The system, powered by a six-kilowatt string inverter alongside a five-kilowatt GivEnergy hybrid inverter and a 9.5-kilowatt GivEnergy battery, ensures that Chloe and her husband now enjoy cheaper energy costs. On top of that, it will now also enable them to install EV charging, making the transition from a hybrid to a full electric vehicle, thereby lowering any running costs.
On the day, we captured two sit-down interviews: one with Chloe discussing her journey to solar, her initial concerns around upfront costs, and the almost immediate return on investment she experienced. And the second was with Mike from SESC, who walked us through the technical specification of the installation and the company’s thorough process, from feasibility study right through to post-installation support.
The final video brings together Chloe’s personal story and Mike’s technical expertise to create a piece of content that is both relatable and reassuring for anyone considering solar energy.
Chloe speaks candidly about the impact the panels have had on her household bills and her confidence in making the switch to a fully electric vehicle, while Mike’s interview gives potential customers a clear picture of what the SESC process looks like from start to finish. SESC Solutions were delighted with the finished content, and Chloe’s enthusiasm for her new system speaks for itself.
